Free trial
How the 14 free days on Core and Professional work: no card, full access, and what happens to your workspace when the trial ends.
Starting
The 14 free days apply to the Core and Professional plans and start when you create your account on one of them — no payment method needed. The Free plan has no trial: it's free and never expires.
During those days you have full access to the plan you chose, and the billing page ("Payment Information", in the profile menu) shows how many are left. If you subscribe before the end, the remaining days still count and the first payment is only taken when they run out.
During the trial
While the trial is active, you can:
- Create real projects, clients, events and stages — nothing is deleted at the end.
- Add employees — each one counts as a seat when you subscribe.
- Upload files up to the plan's storage limit.
Near the end, Vellum reminds you to subscribe, with a direct link to the billing page.
When it ends
If the 14 days end without a subscription, the workspace is blocked: you can still sign in, but a window covers every page except billing, and no changes can be made. Your data isn't deleted.
To unblock it, subscribe to the plan — or switch to Free, if you have up to 3 projects. Switching to Free removes your employees from the team and leaves a one-person account.
