Locations
Office branches under one company. Every project belongs to one.
What is a location?#
A location represents one of your firm's office branches. Single-office firms typically have one; multi-office firms have one per branch and use the location to keep work visible per office.
A location has a name, an address, and a zip code. It is owned by exactly one company.
Relation to projects#
Every project is assigned to one location. The assignment is set at creation time and used in three ways:
- Filtering — most listings can be narrowed to a single location, so a manager only sees their branch's work.
- Reports — pipeline and workload statistics are sliceable by location.
- Permissions — there is no per-location ACL today; everyone in the company can see every location's projects, but the field still drives the office-by-office views.
You can add a new location at any time from the admin area; it becomes immediately available when creating new projects.
