Employee onboarding

What you need#

To join your firm's Vellum account you need:

• An email address — this becomes how you sign in.
• A 6-character link code from your administrator. The code is valid for 7 days from the moment it's generated.
• About 2 minutes.

Redeeming the code#

Open the sign-up page and choose the Employee path. After verifying your email, you'll be asked for the link code. Paste it in, and you'll be attached to the right company — the system creates your employee record and takes you to the home dashboard.

Your account starts at the General permission level. You can see all company projects, create and edit the ones assigned to you, manage events, and review files. Deleting projects or changing billing isn't available at this level — those need an Admin.

Code expired or invalid#

If your code is more than 7 days old or has already been used, redemption won't go through. Ask your administrator to generate a fresh one — it's a single click in the admin area.

Codes are tied to a specific email address. If you signed up with a different email than the one the admin used when generating the code, redemption won't go through either — just ask for a new code with the correct email.
