Employee onboarding

What you need#

To join your firm's Vellum account you need:

• An email address (this becomes your sign-in identity).
• A 6-character link code from your administrator. The code is valid for 7 days from the moment it's generated.
• About 2 minutes.

Redeeming the code#

Open the sign-up page and choose the Employee path. After verifying your email, you'll be asked for the link code. Paste it in and you'll be attached to the right company; the system creates your employee record and routes you to the home dashboard.

Your account starts with `permission_level = GENERAL`. You can view all company projects, create and edit your assigned ones, manage events, and review files. You cannot delete projects or change billing — those require an Admin.

Code expired or invalid#

If your code is more than 7 days old or has already been used, redemption will fail. Ask your administrator to generate a fresh one — it's a single click in the admin area.

Codes are tied to a specific email address. If you signed up with a different email than the admin used when generating the code, redemption will also fail; ask for a new code with the correct email.
